Our New Year’s Resolution: Focus on Industry-Specific Solutions
by Shaina Warner on January 12, 2012
posted in Industry Trends
As we welcome in 2012, we at Microscan are taking a moment to reflect on the many successes we have experienced and the number of growth opportunities we have uncovered in 2011. This past year, Microscan has made great strides in technological innovation through the development of our new AutoVISION suite of products, the recent receipt of our 100th U.S. patent, and improvements to our NERLITE machine vision lighting line with our new Smart Series lights. Although these have been noteworthy milestones on our company’s timeline, as we look to the future it is not enough to seek to simply brand the next great idea. We must also cultivate our achievements for future users and provide more tailored support to our unique customer base. In sum, our new year’s resolution is to drive 2011’s accomplishments in new directions to yield even further successes for Microscan in 2012.

One way that Microscan has endeavored to provide more focused support to its customer base is by addressing industry specific needs. To give just one example, tremendous growth opportunities in the electronics industry this past year have helped to determine the need for a select global support team for electronics at Microscan. Andy Zosel, Microscan Vice President of Marketing and Commercial Operations, gave this recent 2012 forecast for Circuitnet: “In 2012 Microscan plans to continue to add capabilities to the [AutoVISION] product suite and configure the AutoVISION barcode and machine vision ability for the electronics industry. In 2011 we created a cross functional, global team focused on solutions for the electronics industry and in 2012 we will be adding several new members to that team. At Microscan, we believe in the long term growth prospects for electronics in all regions of the world and will continue to provide industry leading support and add members to our global customer service team.”

Similar teams have been put in place for other key vertical markets as we look to provide comprehensive solutions to meet specific needs for machine vision and auto ID technology in the new year. Microscan will focus its efforts on industry challenges and looks forward to uncovering even more growth opportunities for providing solutions for these industries in 2012. We are excited to grow with our customers and adapt to new applications as we become a more optimal service provider for each industry, and we hope that our customers and partners are excited to join us in 2012.

Microscan has a number of solutions for your industry. Let us know how we can support your application today.

Happy New Year!
