Using the "A T-E-S-T" Method
Learn how to use the "A T-E-S-T" method to identify the effects of different lighting techniques on part features. Also includes helpful hints for using infrared and color in your application.
NERLITE Backlights
Demonstration of the NERLITE Edge to Edge Backlight Series, which provides sharp contrast to outline a part's shape, find edges and view openings such as drilled holes, allowing for various vision operations.
Large Area LED Lighting
This LALL demonstration shows the ideal solution for illuminating small to very large areas, from close proximity or at a distance, or whenever very high intensity is required.
DOAL Light
With the DOAL's coaxial (on axis) illumination, light rays reflect off a beam splitter directly on to an object at nearly 90°. With this coaxial lighting approach, specular surfaces perpendicular to the camera appear illuminated, while surfaces at an angle to the camera appear dark. Non-specular surfaces absorb light and appear dark.
Red, White, and Blue Light
This video shows what happens when different colors of light are applied to a multicolored Microscan logo.
Edge to Edge Backlighting

Dome Light
This video showcases the NERLITE Dome Light. Dome lights provide diffused, uniform light. They deliver an economical and practical solution for applications with shiny, bumpy surfaces.
Ring Light
The NERLITE series of LED ring illuminators offers packaging and mounting advancements that emphasize durability and versatility. They are ideal for applications requiring cost-effective illumination of diffused surfaces.
