Global Market Manager, Clinical – Renton, WA or Nashua, NH

We currently have an opening for an experienced and talented Global Market Manager to work on our Clinical team in either our Renton, WA or Nashua, NH office.

SUMMARY

The Global Market Manager, Clinical will be responsible for the direction of a team and strongly influence the entire Microscan business as it relates to a specific vertical market.  This position will evaluate the business opportunities of a specific vertical and create and execute plans to take advantage of these opportunities. They will lead a cross-functional team dedicated to increasing Microscan’s market share in the defined market. Strategic thinking, leadership and the ability to execute in a multifaceted (technical, commercial, financial) manner is imperative.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meet annual operating plan for target vertical including revenue, contribution margins, and budget objectives
  • Conduct market research to estimate size of vertical market, know key accounts and potential customers, perform segmentation, understand buying behavior, and be aware of the competitive environment
  • Develop a vertical go to market strategy including channel strategy, commercial marketing strategy, pricing, and competitive positioning – document annually as part of the Microscan Strategic Marketing Review
  • Develop new product/solution/service offerings and work with engineering to execute against the roadmap and manage the NPD stage gate process
  • Maintain key metrics on the vertical market and Microscan’s business within the target vertical.  Use this data to drive strategy development and course corrections
  • Work with channel management and field sales to execute against the go to market and channel strategy – ensure that the channel is capable of supporting the strategy (quantity/quality of partners, training, and support)
  • Drive (with field sales support) development of key account strategies including global agreements, pricing, service and support, and product offering
  • Work with field sales management on key account planning and developing new business to ensure that 30%-40% of opportunities are new markets/customers and/or new products/solutions
  • Assist field sales organization in negotiating and closing major opportunities with key accounts
  • Participate in external industry events and organizations and position Microscan as a thought leader in the target vertical
  • Support the execution of the commercial marketing strategy including trade show support, seminar and event presentations, etc.
QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • 15+ years of applicable experience with at least 5 years experience in a global leadership/management role
  • Bachelor’s in engineering, business or marketing (MBA or equivalent preferred)
  • Very strong written and speaking communication skills
  • Willing to travel 25%-50% on a global basis
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties.
